Now you must not get too lazy because beyond the confounds of this safe village meeting place lie a couple of other Cape Town gems. Noordhoek beach does not have a boss, but if you don’t take your shoes off and feel the sand and fresh Atlantic water between your toes you have missed a trick. The Red Herring is a legend as too is The Monkey Valley Resort. A stroll through Cape Point Vineyards and a picnic on their lawn is also as relaxing as it gets.
Then further a field you must also explore – Kalk Bay is magnificent and a drive through Simons Town to Cape Point and back through Kommetjie along the “Slangkop Pass” is well worth the time spent. And when you ready head for Chapman’s Peak and the rest of Cape Town awaits you, but don’t rush it, it is so much better here!
